To Autumn and New Beginnings

David and I went for a nice little trip to Chapel Hill this weekend and enjoyed the chilly weather. I was happy to be able to finally wear a jacket for once and sip my hot coffee whilst walking through the woods. It was my first taste of Autumn this year, and I was loving it.

As I saw the leaves falling from the trees, I thought to myself, the trees are showing us how lovely it is to let go of dead things. Slough off the old and get ready to bring in the new.

Take the time to think about things you could change about yourself to become a better person, or incorporate new things in to make you happy.

Whether it’s starting a new hobby, or even just getting up a little earlier, try to list a few things that can make a positive change in your life.

My list:

  1. Run more
  2. Wake up earlier
  3. Read more
  4. Bible study once a week
  5. Learn a new hobby
  6. Write more letters
  7. Play my guitar
  8. Work on Patience (Improving! Still a little road rage though.)
  9. Volunteer
  10. Focus on my upcoming projects

  1. Lovely pictures, girl! I think it’s a really good idea to reflect and set the course for the kind of person you want to be. I’ve been thinking about that a lot, too–I should come up with a list for myself!
